The Stranger

I'm guessing many of you will be thinking "who the hell are you" when you see a blog post pop up from yours truly. Yeah, It's been a bloody good while and I don't necessarily have any reasonable explanation as to why it was been so long, but I'm sure you will all forgive me right?

Anyway! I have been on holiday and have recently come back! Whilst I was there it became part of my routine to take photos of my daily outfits so I'm pleased to announce I have plenty'o'blogs to be getting on with!

Everybody at the hotel thought me and my sister were twins, we partook in some greek dancing with the locals, we swam out into the sea and An old greek lady tried to set me up with a greek dancer. all in all it was a brilliant holiday and it is quite depressing to be back in England with its shit weather and equally miserable people!

Oh yea did I mention I stripped my hair color and am now an all natural brunette gal! don't get too upset by my normal looking hair, I'm dying it ginger tonight ;)

I HAVE MISSED BLOGGING! SPEAK TO YOU ALL SOON!

Broody for Brooches

I went to Weymouth, Okay it was a while ago but I am absolute rubbish at blogging lately, sincere apologies, and I promise along with better weather you will be receiving even better blogs.

Anyway, We decided to take a trip down to Dorchester after discovering on Google that there was a vintage shop there. After finding out, I was there.

It took us a while to find it, even though it was quite central in the town unlike other vintage shops that are usually tucked away in the deepest darkest alleys!

Although the clothing was beautiful! It was a bit over priced for my under £10 budget (I'm a cheap skate). brilliant. But I did discover a cushion which was all over covered in brooches. I cannot even begin to explain how exited I got over a pillow of brooches. You just had to see it with your own eyes, and after closer inspection I notices that the most expensive one on there cost a mere £2. Definitely Tanya price range!

I have only had one brooch in the past which I am in utter love with, and since getting it I have been forever saying I was going to build up a personal collection, and this collection has officially started. I brought 4 absolutely stunning brooches for £5!!!! ARGH! I now have 5 brooches in my mini collection which I can assure you, will carry on growing.

Cameo Brooch-£1
Silver & Peal Brooch-£2
Green Stone Brooch-£1
Gold & Pearl Brooch-£1

If ever you are in Dorchester I suggest you pop by Custard Hall Vintage!

Looking for any reason to wear a new brooch I opted for a plain shirt, just to show my new brooch off to its full potential...

I think this is probably quite a tame outfit for myself. Despite this, a group of quite young girls sat across from me when me and Alex took my nieces out to the Wacky Warehouse and did nothing but stare at me, whisper and giggle. Part of me wanted to give them a tiny slap, another part of me wanted to stick my middle finger up to them, and another part of me felt like I was a child being bullied in school. Instead I sat there, Stared back and smiled like an idiot. Children are quite mean.

Much Love!

House Of Harrie Hattie

On a extremely cold and windy morning me and my sister woke up bright and early to have a photo shoot for the lovely company that is House Of Harrie Hattie.

For anybody that hasn't heard or seen anything from the beautiful company, well smack yourself on the wrist and take a look at her Facebook page! NOW! (click the logo above)

The Owner of the company is also the creator of the beautiful mini cocktail hats and spends her spare time hand crafting the lovely little things using Harris Tweed, Vintage fabrics, Natural feathers and vintage gems, all in all making some very beautiful and unique hats!

If you are an avid vintage fair goer in the midlands area then keep your eye out! you may well see her stand set up at the next one you go to! and if you do I suggest you go over and have a nosy and a chat! she is one of the single most lovely people I have ever met and is definitely worth being on your friends list!

So next time your going to a wedding, party, or even just fancy jazzing up an outfit then get yourself one of these babies!

Happy Monday

Hello!

It's nice to have a Monday off work, The day that is dreaded by all working folk. and on top of that the skies are blue and the sun is out! (by the way don't let that sun trick you, it is freezing out there!

What I Am Wearing
Dress-Cow Vintage-£6
Shoes-Dr. Martens-£30-sale
Frilly socks-Asda-Kids Section-£3 a pack!
Belt-Primark-£2
Headscarf-Oasis Vintage-£1

I told you that sunlight was deceiving check out the steam coming out my mouth! I'm like a dragon! I braved the flesh color tights and the floral shoes but did have to throw on my winter coat when I ventured out!

I have gone for a sort of 40's housewife look today, partially to inspire me to actually tidy the pile of clothes that are slowly mounting up in the corner of my room, but mainly because I wanted to give my vintage headscarf a go! I've actually fell quite in love with the pin up style as of late and think I might start trying to pull of a headscarf more often, what you reckon?

This dress is one of my favorites. I actually have no idea why I never seem to wear it. I brought it from Cow Vintage a while back and it cost me the bargain price of £6! ARGH! I bloody love bargain shopping! There should definitely be a bargain hunters but for clothes. I know a few people who could star in it and we could go vintage/charity shopping and the person who buys the best outfit for the cheapest price wins! That is probably one of my greatest ideas ever. who's up for it!?

Enough procrastinating, I must tidy up my floor wardrobe. Plus I have just received a parcel which is my new dress from ASOS which definitely needs a good trying on!

Until Next Time!
